Good reasons to vote for Kaine
I'm thankful I can support a candidate for U.S. senator, Tim Kaine, and do not have to malign his opponent to make my point, as Kaine's record speaks for itself.
He worked with missionaries as a school principal and learned the power of education and enjoyed the satisfaction of service to others. As a lawyer, he demonstrated fairness for those who were denied housing due to race or disability. As Richmond's mayor, Kaine sparked new business growth and cut the city's crime rate.
When he was governor, Virginia was known nationally as best-managed state in America, best state for doing business and best state for raising a child.
Kaine married Roanoke's Anne Holton, daughter of Gov. Linwood Holton, a Republican. He says Holton is his political hero, proving that he has firsthand experience in working across the aisle.
On Nov. 6, Virginians have the opportunity to make an exceptional period in our state's history by electing Kaine as our United States senator.
