A few weeks ago, I had the good fortune to join 20 other nurses and Governor Tim Kaine for a lively roundtable discussion hosted by Nurses for Kaine to talk about different strategies we can use to provide accessible, affordable, quality health care.
I was happy to participate in the “Cooking with the Candidates” segment of the Hampton Roads show on WAVY.

It’s a great pleasure to introduce this week’s Volunteer Spotlight, Shirley Hollingsworth. Shirley is a mother of 3 beautiful children and is married to her husband Carl, an active duty member of the U.S. Army. Their family has resided in Manassas for more than 12 years, where Shirley has been an active volunteer and member of the community.
I am pleased to introduce you to this week’s Volunteer Spotlight, Bryan Salas. A Virginia native, Bryan recently retired from the U.S. Marine Corps, where he worked in public affairs. He enjoys canvassing and making calls from our Sterling office, where his experience in military recruitment makes him a natural!
